The transitional house program is specifically for battered and abused women and their children and that offers immediate shelter for up to three months for women and their children who are victims of relationship
violence and abuse.
The vision of the SBCWC is the creation of a safe and secure society and a human rights culture, where women and children are empowered to exercise their full rights.
We aim to help every women and child who comes to us in crisis to heal physically, emotionally and spiritually. We offer help and hope regardless of race or religion, offering a 'hand-up' as a form of empowerment and not a 'hand-out' – because we care.
To provide a temporary safe home for the victims of abuse, social welfare services to the victim and perpetrator; create job and
rehabilitation opportunities, mediation for family reunification and re-integration into society.
To make women and children feel that they belong to a family and that they are loved and accepted by Society. To strive towards the development of a well balanced (emotional, moral, social and intellectual) individual who will contribute to a healthy society.
The Nonceba Centre Trust was established in 1998, in response to high levels of reported violence against children (particularly child sexual abuse). Nonceba’s Mission, ‘is to reduce the levels of domestic violence and abuse, particularly child sexual abuse; to provide support to those who have been abused and their families; and to prevent abuse through education’.
L'Abrie de Dieu Safe House is the only shelter of its kind in the Greater Stellenbosch Municipal District for victims of Domestic Violence and Abuse. Our vision is to be a shelter that supports physically, emotionally and sexually abused women and children by facilitating a restorative program in order to give a hope and future.
Our aim is to assist women and children against all forms of abuse. We strive to empower victims of abuse to walk tall in a community with a capacity to address violence in all its forms.
To build the family unit and social fabric of our community and country.
Shelter, care, and empowerment of destitute, abused and disadvantaged mothers and their children. We are motivated by the principle of empowerment and do our best to enable disadvantaged and distressed women and their children to find relief, support and a chance to become independent, confident and self-sufficient.
